Certified Tutor

This is Polly from Hong Kong. I am a recent graduate from the University of Oxford. My master degree's major is MSc Applied Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition.

Being a language educator has long been my aspiration. Personally, I have obtained excellent results in Chinese, English and Korean proficiency tests and all of these are internationally recognised which have proved my talent in language learning.

Professionally, my successful completion of Bachelor of Education at the University of Hong Kong has equipped me with a professional qualification as a language teacher. During my 4-year undergraduate study, I acquired solid knowledge of language pedagogies including lesson planning, language assessment, classroom management and educational psychology. In terms of practical experience, I have taught a total number of 150 students, ranging from primary two to secondary three, with excellent feedback from my supervisors. My research potential is seen in my BEd dissertation which investigated the effectiveness of a disruptive pedagogy in a traditional school environment. The research study was well received by my mentors and it sparked my interest to further improve students' language learning experience and bring out the best in students.
