Certified Tutor

I am a Graduate of University of Texas, Austin's Web Development Bootcamp. For a year prior to COVID I taught at Coding With Kids, grades K - 7. I taught Scratch, Ozobots, HTML, CSS, and Javascript. I was beloved by the children, and, amongst my younger students, recieved hugs, and was even invited to one little girl's birthday party. With COVID, my opportunities took a down turn, so I ultimately quit, though continued to do independent practice with my Web Development skills as I have since graduation. I have a deep knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript, and JQuery, as well as a proficiency with ReactJS and SQL*. I have experimented extensively with various server side languages, such as C++, Java, and Python, along the way. All of these share fundamental similarities with each other and with Javascript, which makes them easy to learn in succession. Other areas of experience include NodeJS, AngularJS, and Mongo.

I have always been one to enjoy the creative, interactive sides of life. I prefer situations that allow me to express creativity and take control. That's why I prefer videogames to books or movies, performing over watching shows, etc. I think the best learning involves interaction and creativity as well. When I assign projects to my students, I give them the liberty to put their own spin on things.

*If you would like me to tutor you on SQL/MySQL, please have the necessary software installed. That is to say, have all you need to create a table in MySQL workbench. While I have a deep understand of this language, installing software and noodling through the inner workings of a personal computer are not my forte, so I don't want to mess up your computer or cause you any headaches in the future.
