Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Florida Gulf Coast University where I obtained by B.S. in Biotechnology with a minor in chemistry, and I am now enrolled in a Master of Public Health program with a concentration in Applied Biostatistics at the University of South Florida. I have experience in many different areas of science, including chemistry and physics, but biology is my favorite subject to tutor and the one I have the most experience in. During my time in college, I was able to tutor for the Center of Academic Achievement. I tutored individual students in General Biology I and II and later led review sessions for larger groups in General Biology II. I was also a TA (Teacher's Assistant) for physics. I walked around the classroom and helped students with any questions during lecture and led study sessions before exams. I love to help students understand concepts they are struggling with, and it is rewarding see their satisfaction when the material clicks. I am flexible and willing to change my teaching style to meet each individual student's needs. As a recent graduate, I understand and remember what it is like to struggle to find an answer or understand a difficult concept, and I am here to help in any way possible.
