I am currently retired but applying my off time to tutoring. My prior educational accomplishments are the following:
* Licensed Practical Nursing certificate from New Mexico State University - Carlsbad, NM;
* Graduate Certificate in Public Health from New Mexico State University - Las Cruces;
* Bachelors in Public Health New Mexico State University - Las Cruces, NM;
* Associates in General Studies from Dona Ana Community College - Las Cruces, NM;
* Certified Professional Life Coach.

Many know me as a lifelong learner. I agree. I want to learn at every opportunity. I have a passion for helping others in any way I can and find that I can pass on my knowledge and experience to students through tutoring. I have enjoyed tutoring and helping students of all ages, from young to more mature learners. I am genuinely willing to tutor when a person is receptive to learning. I have the passion, compassion, empathy, and patience needed when tutoring.

While I have a variety of knowledge sets on many topics, my favorite and the most vital subject is writing. I love writing in almost any form and the chance to pass on my knowledge, experience, and passion for writing. Over the years of upper-level education, I have written many documents, essays, and research papers, which have all helped hone my grammar and formatting skills. I also have a passion for learning about words: definitions, usages, origins, and more. Many friends and family call me the 'Word Nerd', and many call me the Grammar Granny. You can call me Miss Helen.
