Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Virginia Wesleyan University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Hispanic Studies (Spanish) and a Master of Arts in Education. I had the opportunity to visit various Spanish speaking countries, such as Colombia, Mexico, Argentina (study abroad), Uruguay and Puerto Rico. In addition, I have been a successful tutor at my university for Spanish 1-3 and have student taught Spanish 4, 5, and AP (during my masters program). Most importantly, I successfully passed my Spanish PRAXIS in order to receive my teaching license this summer. I plan on teaching Spanish in public school during the 2022-2023 school year. In my experience helping struggling students prepare for Standardized Tests, I always made sure to ensure students that they can succeed because motivation and dedication to studying and practice is necessary to overcome important professional exams. I am a firm believer that knowing another language is essential in today's world in order to increase the chances of confidence and employment and I hope that my tutoring helps students achieve this goal.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading Spanish novels which enriches vocabulary, watching Spanish telenovelas, exercising + yoga, and organizing personal belongings and academic work.
