I'm a PhD Candidate at Texas A&M University, Department of Agricultural Economics. I'm expected to complete my doctoral degree in August 2022. In the beginning of doctoral journey I acted as a teaching assistant, teaching small groups, grading papers, and providing office hours.
At the beginning of 2020 I was given the opportunity to act as primary instructor of a course - and taught AGEC 317 (introductory stats/regression analysis) to students for five semesters. This included sudden adjustments to my curriculum due to COVID-19 and University Regulations.
I believe a core element of teaching is being engaging. Students who care, learn. Tutoring will offer me opportunities to ask students what interests them and analyze results based on those examples.

I'd classify myself as a nerd and a lover of history - my friends have frequently commented that I know more about the 14th century than modern pop culture. When I have free time, I enjoy running my weekly D&D campaign, playing videogames with my friends, and watching anime with my girlfriend.
