Certified Tutor

I have been in the education world for over 20 years. I love teaching students because it never feels like a job, it is fun! Every session is an adventure filled with learning for my students.

My philosophy of education is that all children are unique and need a stimulating educational environment where they can grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially.

I have my Bachelor's in Education from Washburn University in Topeka and a Masters in Leadership from Baker University in Overland Park, KS.

I tutor students in reading, language arts, writing, and grammar. These subjects are my favorite and my area of expertise. When I was teaching in the classroom I taught elementary grades 3-6 (all subject areas) and middle school English. I spent my last 5 years as a middle school principal.

Outside of tutoring, I enjoy riding my bicycle, geocaching, reading, and camping.

I have a lot of interests which include reading books, listening to books on audiotapes, gardening, camping, doing jigsaw puzzles, riding my bike, and geocaching. I also have a lot of great friends I like to hang out with.
