Certified Tutor

I graduated from Gardner-Webb University with a BS degree in Elementary Education. I am certified to teach in North Carolina where I have been happily teaching third grade for two years. Therefore tutoring in both third-grade reading and math is my strongest area. Not only have I taught third grade, but I have tutored second grade. I am very passionate about teaching for I believe a strong foundation should be established during the tender years of Elementary School. During this time students have the ability to develop their love for learning. I am particularly passionate about third grade because of the fact; this is the first-year students must attempt to take and pass their first End of Grades test in both reading and math. Passing the test can be a challenging hurdle, but one I believe any student can achieve with determination and hard work. Learning should never be considered drudgery but fun; therefore I strive to tutor in a fun creative way using personal interest intertwining with education.
