I am very happy with our experience so far with 51Թ. They matched my daughter with reading specialist Mary and she is wonderful! My 10 year old daughter feels happy after her sessions and believes her tutor has already helped her.

Certified Tutor

I received my Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service in International Politics, with a concentration in International Law, from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service in 2017. Since graduation, I have had the opportunity to work in the technology policy and advocacy space, and I am currently a tax and trade policy aide in the United States Senate. My prior tutoring experience includes working with a high school student in British Literature, as well as preparing this student for the Critical Reading and Writing sections of Standardized Tests. Most recently, I have volunteered as a reading tutor for elementary school students at a local DC public school. I am a voracious reader and writer myself, and I have found that one of the most rewarding aspects of tutoring is helping students to reach an understanding of and master complex terms and concepts, and have fun doing so! I also loved studying and excelled in American history, politics and government, and international affairs while in high school and college, and these are subjects I very much look forward to discussing with students. In my spare time, you can find me on a hike or exploring the outdoors, doing yoga, learning new songs on the keyboard, or curled up with a cup of strong, dark roast coffee and a good book.
