Certified Tutor

I have spent more than 15 years in Human Resources and Training and I love it! I am a certified HR Professional through both SHRM and HRCI. I have an MS Degree in Career and Technical Studies from Old Dominion University and Bachelor's in Business Education from NC A&T State University. I have worked extensively with training business professionals as well as high school and college students. I provide career coaching and mentoring to emerging HR leaders and job applicants in career transition. To prepare for HR certification tests, I provide an individualized approach to instruction by first assessing each students' strengths and determining how I can help them grow and enhance their skills. I am a strong advocate for project-based experiences and challenging students to think through practical applications using case studies and research. In my free time, I enjoy volunteering with non profit organizations to provide pro bono HR assistance and leadership coaching. I also enjoy exercising and playing tennis with family and our spoiled rotten Airedale Terrier.
