I look forward to getting to know and tutor you in various subjects including reading, writing, and elementary math! I have a Bachelor's degree in English/Communication and a Master's in Education/Special Education (birth-grade 2), both from Touro College. I am licensed in Early Childhood Special Education in Virginia and recently completed certification in TEFL/TESOL. I have experience working in both general and special education in private and public school settings. I like to tutor with a student-centered approach using meta-cognition, or constant reflection on one's learning.
In addition to tutoring/teaching, I am also a freelance writer for various publications and have published some poetry as well. I enjoy spending time with my husband and three kids as well as reading, writing, exercising, and painting.
