Certified Tutor

I am currently in the 5 year BA/MS PA program at the University of Detroit Mercy, with a major in Biology. Although I tutor a wide range of subjects, I am most passionate about Biology, Math, and English. All throughout high school, I worked as a Kumon tutor, where I gained experience in helping students understand and master Math and English. I was also involved in an after school tutoring program designed to help middle schoolers who were falling behind in school. Through these experiences, I was able to identify which teaching techniques were the most efficient for helping students understand difficult subjects. I think as a teacher, it is vital to incorporate real world examples, visualization, and repetition. Aside from school and tutoring, I enjoy traveling, fitness, and hanging out with my family and friends.
