Certified Tutor

I am a lifelong student who loves learning and teaching science. I hold a bachelors of science in Biology and I will be attending Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in the Fall.

I have enjoyed tutoring since I started out as a volunteer math tutor in high school. In college, I became a full time paid Learning Assistant for General Chemistry I and II. I absolutely love this job! Working with students of all different comfort-levels and backgrounds is something I enjoy; I always do my best do adapt my teaching style to what the student needs. If he/she requires someone to explain things in metaphorical/figurative ways, I'm happy to do so! But if the student requires intense drilling of concepts down to the very nitty-gritty: I am also happy to do so! I also enjoy tutoring math and other sciences, including various levels of biology.

At one point, I was also in your shoes. I still recall early in high school when I found an online tutor to help me study for the chemistry AP exam and SAT subject test. At that time, I did not realize how much easier and enjoyable chemistry can become by truly understanding the underlying concepts. However, the tutor I had was able to show me the benefits of doing so! I strive to help you and every student I work with have their "aha!" moment.
