Certified Tutor

I am a second year student at SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry. I am passionate about environmental health and hope that my conservation biology degree will allow me to travel while helping Earth.

I earned my International Bachelorette (IB) Diploma after attending the International Academy, an entirely IB school. The school had a rigorous curriculum that required volunteer work, long term projects, and exams at the end of senior year covering two years of content per class. I am proud to say that within my campus, I earned the highest score on the Environmental Systems and Societies IB exam. I took Higher Level Environmental Systems and Societies, French, and English Language Arts.

I have extensive experience in tutoring. For several years I taught mini lessons in my mother's kindergarten class during the hour between my school ending and her class ending. Years of tutoring peers in middle/high school, as well as teaching several church classes, has allowed me to explore diverse methods of teaching curated to each individual's learning process.

While I enjoy and excel in academics, much of my free time is spent snowboarding (I also am a snowboard instructor), hiking with my cat, hammocking, watching Netflix, and playing music (guitar, piano, and ukulele). These are often convenient talking points to better relate with the child that I am tutoring.

I truly love learning and happily dedicate much of my energy to helping others not only do well in school, but discover methods of overcoming new challenges.
