I recently graduated from Oglethorpe University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in Spanish. I am hoping to complete a PhD and teach in a university setting in the future, and I enjoy the creative challenge of developing new ways for students to relate to academic material, especially that which aligns with my own intellectual interests. Outside of literature and language learning, both of which I have continued to pursue since my graduation, I love working with animals. As an Animal Ambassador Handler at AWARE Wildlife Center, I am fortunate to spend a great deal of time interacting with native species each week.
