Certified Tutor
I am a graduate of Nova Southeastern University with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and ESOL. I also recently completed my Master of Education in Teaching English Language Learners. Following my college graduation, I spent a year teaching English in South Korea with a strong focus on writing. After I returned, I began working with a coaching and tutoring services based in neuroscience and cognitive behavior techniques for students from elementary school through college. For the last five years, I have taught in a public school, where I am currently a fifth grade ESOL teacher. My favorite subject to teach is writing, but I try to make learning fun, no matter what subject it is. I have a lot of knowledge regarding preparation for state and local standardized testing, including WIDA Access for ELLs 2.0, Map-R, DRA, and PARCC. I love teaching and love to help my students find not only what they're good at, but what they're passionate about. In my free time I enjoy relaxing with my husband and two dogs, listening to music, checking out local festivals, and crafting!
