Certified Tutor

I always have fun playing with numbers since the elementary school. During the high school, I was always a "go to" friend in my class when my classmates have math questions while we were all preparing for a very competitive national colleage placement exams (in Turkey). In some days, I was solving more than 50 problems just for my friends. Tutoring and explaining others how to approach problems became a natural reflex for me at that time.

Not surprisingly, I made my choice to enroll in a mathematics teaching program for my undergraduate education. After getting my undergraduate degree, I started teaching math at the 6th grade level until I was admitted to a PhD program and moved to the United States.

My PhD focused on educational measurement and statistics and I have been trained in highly advanced statistical methods. Since I graduated, I have been teaching introductory level and advanced level statistics courses at the graduate level. Analyzing data, running statistics, and making inferences is my daily routine. I have had undergraduate and graduate students from very diverse backgrounds, and teaching them statistics is always a joy.
