Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of The University of Tennessee at Martin. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Master's degrees in Education Curriculum and Instruction and Administration and Supervision. Since graduation, I have worked as an elementary school teacher in a variety of settings. I have experience teaching grades K, 2, 3, 4 and 5 as well as ESL and gifted students. While I have taught a broad range of subjects, I am most enthusiastic when focusing on Reading and Language Arts. I believe that the attributes an outstanding teacher must have are a passion for the teaching profession, a love for children, and a willingness to learn new things. I consider myself to be a work in progress. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, cooking, traveling and hiking.
