I am making a difference and challenging our future generations to be successful!

I have a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Middle Childhood Education (Grades 4-9) Social Studies and Language Arts. I also have a Reading license in grades K-12, as well as a K-12 Special Education license. I have also taken some ESL courses.

I have been teaching now for 7 years, and my entire teaching thus far has been in the realm of Intervention. I began my career as a Title I Reading Teacher for 3.5 years with students in grades 4-6 where I worked with small groups on reading skills. I then became a K-3 Title I Reading teacher for 1.5 years, then a 6-8 Title I Reading and Math teacher. I have currently been teaching Special Education for 2 years now, working with students in grades 6-7, currently with 6th grade. I also tutor privately and am a part-time teacher at Sylvan Leaning Center!

I enjoy working with students at all age levels. In college I was a writing tutor and I enjoyed being able to help students improve their writing skills.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, shopping, traveling, mentoring teenagers, and watching movies.
