Certified Tutor

I earned a BS from M.I.T. after being valedictorian of my high school. I am a highly experienced C++/Linux software engineer, taught 6th graders as a certified secondary school Math teacher, and also tutored my birth and foster children in elementary school through high school. I love tutoring children of elementary through high school ages individually, learning what they don't understand and how they think, and tailoring my approach to their particular needs and style rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach. I am particularly proud of helping a high school senior improve his SAT scores by over 300 points enabling him to gain admission to and ultimately graduate with a Bachelor's degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University. As a senior software engineer, I mentored new hires and personally developed all or major parts of many systems using C++.
