Certified Tutor

I recently graduated (August 2017) from the University of Chicago with an MA in social science, focusing on linguistic anthropology and anthropology of science. I did my undergraduate in neuroscience at Oberlin College, where I worked in a lab for two years programming Virtual Reality applications to study the senses. I also worked as a tutor and grader in the philosophy department. With my liberal arts and interdisciplinary background, I have familiarity with a range of subjects from the life sciences to the social sciences to the humanities. I have tutored essay writing to professional students and undergrads, symbolic logic to undergrads, and robotics and electronics to elementary school students as part of an after school program. I recently (October 2017) retook the GRE to be able to apply more competitively to PhD programs. Outside of work, you might catch me biking, going to punk or jazz shows, drinking enormous quantities of tea, reading a novel or ethnography, playing music, or cooking vegetarian food with friends.
