Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Haverford College where I received my Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a minor in Public Health and a concentration in biochemistry. During my time in college my first experience as an instructor was as a Teacher???s Assistant (TA) for the general chemistry lab course. I provided support in all lab experiments, held weekly TA sessions to provide support for assignments and graded assignments, lab notebooks and lab reports. From this experience I learned the value of empowering students and arming them with the tools to problem solve rather than merely giving them a correct answer. Additionally, during college I participated as a tutor in an after-school program working with elementary students. I find the best way to support students is through a balance of encouragement and challenge.
I am currently pursuing a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and in my spare time I enjoy sporadically taking West African dance classes, trying new exercise classes and re-watching Bones.
