Certified Tutor

My story starts at the University of Georgia, go Dawgs! During college, I had the incredible opportunity to intern as an Operations Coordinator with Teach For America where my passion for closing the achievement gap of our country was born. Upon graduation, I moved to New York where I taught Kindergarten with Uncommon Charter schools for 2 years. I obtained my Masters in Early Childhood Education while in New York. My love for rigorous academics, high behavioral standards and helping students to fall in love with learning blossomed in New York. After New York, I moved to Charleston, South Carolina where I helped found a new Private/Public school (a first of its kind) in North Charleston. In Charleston, I helped write curriculum for Kindergarten and led my students to score the highest test scores and make the most academic growth on the state test in the entire school. I teach with energy, a love for students of all ages and a determination to help students succeed. I am open to tutor students in all elementary grades in all subjects. My tutoring sessions will include cheers, songs, Uga visits (the University of Georgia stuffed animal mascot), and constant data checks with students and their families to ensure effective and efficient tutoring sessions.
