A recipient of the Lilly Award for Excellence in Writing, I graduated magna cum laude from Davidson College with a Bachelor of Arts in English. I went on to earn a Master of Education in Mental Health Counseling from Columbia University. Since graduating, I have worked full time as a psychotherapist in NYC. Caring and supportive, I have helped both high school and college students to improve their study skills, time management, and test taking strategies. My psychological background makes me particularly skillful at helping students to overcome academic anxiety in order to perform at their highest potential. As someone who loves to read and write, I enjoy sharing this passion with students who are studying English and Literature. To help students thrive, I cultivate their curiosity and engagement with subject materials. My hope is that they will become lifelong learners. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, playing the guitar, and contra dancing.
