Certified Tutor

With two years one-on-one tutoring experience and training in academic writing and test prep, I'm ready to help with your last-minute term paper crisis or your SAT/ACT stress. I am a senior at Denison University majoring in History and concentrating on American history, so I'm just the right person to help you find strategies and tools for your APUSH test, government paper, or social studies assignment.

I know firsthand how overwhelming high-stakes tests or papers can feel, so I care deeply about helping students break down goals into manageable steps. I'm committed to finding the best strategies to fit each student's particular needs, so I make sure to put in plenty of prep time for each student. These tests and essays are important, but they don't have to be overwhelming - a little bit of guidance can go a long way in helping students feel prepared and confident.

I also have a second major in Theater, which gives me lots of practice in communication and people skills. I'm also ready to be a resource in drama studies, public speaking, Shakespeare, and more.

I'm going into my third year as a Writing Tutor and Consultant at my university's on-campus writing center, where I work with students to improve the organization, clarity, and effectiveness of their writing. I can consult on anything from a chemistry lab report to a political science paper to an application essay and resume.

I was fortunate to receive great guidance when I was taking high school history years ago. I had caring mentors who helped me learn the strategies that helped me earn 5s and 4s on five different social studies AP tests. I'm passionate about sharing these tools with current students. AP tests can seem overwhelming, but with a little practice, students can quickly realize that they have more skills than they thought.

I have wide availability while I'm home for the summer, so don't hesitate to reach out for help with writing, history, and English.
