I graduated from Loyola University Chicago with an MS in Microbiology and Immunology with an emphasis in Immunology. I also received a BA in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Carthage College in Kenosha, WI. Throughout my schooling I have had experience tutoring/teaching my colleagues in both group and one-on-one settings. What I have learned is no student learns material the same way. It takes dialogue between tutor, students, and parents to determine the best plan of action for the student to attain their academic goals. I believe in an active learning environment that includes discussion-based learning, supplemented with hands on learning activities within my sessions that is specifically tailored to each student's needs and grade level.
