I am a recent graduate of Oakwood University with a Bachelors Degree in Biology. I used to be afraid to learn. Learning was a daunting experience, but I overcame because someone taught me the tools pertinent for success. Now I would like to help other students achieve success. My experience involves teaching middle school, high school, and college level science to struggling students like you. I enjoy literature, public speaking and making reading fun! For my hobbies I like to sing, present research, exercise, and write short stories.

What is your teaching philosophy?
The tutor and student should get to know one another, for example hobbies or pet peeves, or favorite school subjects or TV shows. This will enable the student to open up and express some of the issues they may have with the subject at hand. As a teacher, I will observe the student as he/she is doing their work. I will look for signs of anxiety, such as biting nails or pulling hair. Over time these habits will be corrected as I will teach the student how to think aloud and solve problems in a confident manner.
