Certified Tutor

My professional and personal lives have consistently involved helping students and older persons. I have a MA in elementary education and have taught, tutored, and substituted. In addition, I was a parent educator in a full service school and also conducted make -take workshops. I believe strongly in hands- on learning and provide resources for families and make manipulatives for them to keep. i am a very visual learner and realize there are many avenues to reach a student.
I possess organizational skills and was elected to be the chairperson of the center in the full service school after only being there a short time. As the Title One remedial reading and math teacher, I was nominated for an excellence award. I take a personal interest and want to help the whole child and relate learning to his/he r world. Most recently, I have been a caregiver for my parents and involved with all issues and communication with several departments.
