I did an Engineering master in France (ESEO) and a Business master (ESSCA) in the goal to be a trade Engineer.
I was a tennis teacher for 4 yours to pay for my studies. My pupils were from 3 to 80 years old, so I have experience in management and tutoring also because I gave for 2 years mathematics lesson in Nantes.
I can give Mathematics lesson thanks to my studies and French lesson because that's my native language, and I like to share my experience.
I'm very calm, and I have a lot of patience, I think that it's the most important in tutoring.

What is your teaching philosophy?
The most important is to be patient and share his own experience.

I present myself and say that I was in his/her place few years ago.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
He has to learn a method of learning. There is an old saying about not just giving fish to the hungry, but also teaching them how to fish.
How would you help a student stay motivated?
Always have a smile, and he/she has to understand that it's for his/her future.
If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?
Be patient, and find another way to explain.
How do you help students who are struggling with reading comprehension?
They have to write.
What strategies have you found to be most successful when you start to work with a student?
Be friendly.
How would you help a student get excited/engaged with a subject that they are struggling in?
Persevere, and compare it to something he/she likes.
What techniques would you use to be sure that a student understands the material?
The student has to do it again by himself.
How do you build a student's confidence in a subject?
Repeat and repeat, and then say when it's good.
How do you evaluate a student's needs?
I always ask him to do it again by himself.

I listen to him/her, and I adapt my tutoring
