San Jose State graduate with a BS in Biology, Systems Physiology (Minor in Chemistry). I moved here from San Francisco, CA. to pursue Clinical Laboratory Science here in Phoenix, AZ.
I have tutored since I was in high school. I began coaching chess in various elementary schools in the area. During the summer I coach students to enter into competitive math competitions and prepare middle school students for the SATs. I entered a program for No Child Left Behind and mentored at-risk students in various grades, mostly focused in a high school setting. My main focus is to build on independent learning and mentor students to become proactive members of the community. I founded a nonprofit organization in college called SeriousFun and that laid the foundation to be positive and active members in the community. I believe strongly that any student of mine can be a leader and become accountable, optimistic, and confident.
