Certified Tutor
Having experienced the rigor of learning from myriad tutors and learning centers firsthand, I feel that I have picked up several useful studying and test-taking techniques that may help all different types of students. I think it is important to find the easiest and the most efficient and enjoyable techniques for each particular student, as every individual learns better in different ways. As a college student now, I still use many of these studying strategies and have been exposed to even more from my fellow peers. I am very hard-working and dedicated, not to mention friendly, flexible, and unwaveringly supportive! :-)

What is your teaching philosophy?
People learn best in different ways, so if you're really struggling with something, there exists a better learning strategy out there for you!
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
I would get to know what kind of a person the student is, and what hobbies and interests he/she has. I would then discuss the subject with which the student is struggling and the studying strategies that he/she currently uses in order to determine how I can best help the individual student.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
I can help students develop better learning and organization systems to encourage that proactivity and experimentation with learning mechanisms yields independence.
