Julie is passionate about empowering people to bring further joy and energy into their life. With a Master's degree in Neurobiology and as a painter, she is continuously inspired by the logic and beauty of the world. She is a meditation teacher and loves helping others eliminate stressful drains and distance themselves from daily drama so that they can live with more vitality, creativity and personal fulfillment. She loves connecting with students and helping others to connect to themselves more deeply and to share their gifts with the world.
Currently a meditation teacher who focuses on emotional awareness and creativity, Julie has had the opportunity to travel the world. After college she worked on her Mandarin Chinese as an ESL teacher in southwestern China. There she taught English to college students as well as tutored students of all ages in English, reading, and writing.
After living in China for a year she traveled through southeast Asia on her way to Israel where she completed her Master's thesis in Neurobiology. Besides her lab work, she helped teach an upper level microscopy course and lead two summer science camps for international high school students. She loved working with the students who had an interest in biology and biological research and loves talking about experiments and cutting edge research.
On her way back to Boston, Julie made her way through Germany and India-- two places that hold a sacred place in her heart. Julie's calmed her traveling bug, but she still loves adventure, exploration and learning new things. She enjoys the discovery of her inner world through meditation and reflecting that back out around her through art, communication and tutoring.

What is your teaching philosophy?
As a teacher, my aim is to guide students to their own answers.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
I would ask you about yourself, areas of interest, strengths & weaknesses and where you feel you need help.
