Certified Tutor
I believe that any student can achieve their academic goals with the right help. As a past tutor with an After School Program, I know what it takes to motivate and encourage students of any age. I am a very patient and kind teacher, but I also enjoy a few quips to keep things light throughout the learning process. I think a sense of humor is sometimes necessary in order to get through complicated lessons! I connect well with kids, teens, and adults, and would love to be of help no matter your goals.

What is your teaching philosophy?
My teaching philosophy is all about motivation. What's keeping you from excelling in a particular subject? What can I do to eliminate any mental blocks in order for you to achieve your potential? Teaching the material is the easy part, and if you just need help with the lesson, that is no problem. But with some students, listening and understanding what is specifically hindering them is the path to success. I believe the sky's the limit!
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
In a typical first session with a student, I like to get to know what drives you. What do you like to learn and do with your time? What do you dislike? What are your goals? Do they differ from your parents' goals? Let's get to the root of your motivations and get through this together. Then, we can tackle the lesson with clear minds and objectives.
