I am currently working on finishing up my Associates from Broward College Honors Institute. Once I graduate, I will transfer to Stony Brook University where I will work towards my Bachelors and later Masters and Doctorates in Mathematics. All throughout high school, I tutored my peers. This allowed me to gain a great deal of knowledge and insight on the most effective teaching methods. With these methods I find it easy to teach even the toughest mathematical concepts that commonly trouble many students. With over 5 years of experience in tutoring math privately, I was offered a job to tutor and hold workshops in Broward College, Math Department. With an immense appreciation and passion for mathematics, I offer all of my students the ability to enjoy the subject (willingly, of course). Time and again I have been contacted by my past students and their families with extremely positive feedback and gratitude. My teaching philosophy is this: in order for students to properly learn and comprehend a concept (especially one under such an abstract subject), they need to first see its relevance in the real world. I cannot expect a student to simply digest words from a book and then pass an exam. I aim to guide by interaction and application; to show just how connected we are to what we learn. While I'm not reading a math book you'll find me jumping off an airplane or participating in other outdoor activities that are perhaps scarier than taking a math test.
