I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Biology, focusing on marine and molecular biology, and I am currently finishing my Masters thesis in Zoology with a focus on marine genomics at Oregon State University. I have informally tutored my friends in various subjects since high school, and taught a series of introductory biology labs at Oregon State University for a year. I love interacting with students, especially in more focused settings like small groups or one on one. I have worked with young children through science outreach programs. I tutor a variety of science subjects as well as French, my native language, but my favorite subject is biology because I am fascinated by the diversity of adaptations in the living world. I work with students by making concepts relatable to them and explaining how and why things work a certain way, whether it's math problems or biology vocabulary. This approach solidifies concepts that might otherwise fall through the cracks. I believe that anyone can learn anything! In my spare time, I am an avid collector of trivia about strange marine invertebrates, am a scuba diver, and enjoy playing board games and baking.
