Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Washington State University where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Language, specifically focusing on Spanish Language and Cultures. After graduating, I was accepted into Washington State's Masters in Teaching program where I continued my studies focusing to obtain a teaching certification for grades 8-12 Spanish Language Education.

Since finishing my collegiate career I have been teaching high school Spanish on Seattle's East side. As a teacher, I have very much enjoyed me experience when it comes to tutoring students, especially students who may be struggling with the confusing grammar concepts of the Spanish Language. That being said, while I have an appreciation and the skills in writing, ESL education, and English grammar, I am most passionate and excel the most at tutoring Spanish (Levels 1-4).

When it comes to language teaching, I believe it cannot be rushed. I try to ensure my students understand each component of the language fully until moving onto the next. Language learning builds on itself, and if one gets caught up and confused within the first weeks, there is no doubt trouble will arise down the road. I like to ensure my students feel confident each step of the way in order to see success in the long run.

During my free time, I love to travel and have spent time in Spain, Chile, Uruguay, Costa Rica, and Mexico studying the Spanish language and submersing myself in its different cultures. Additionally, I am an avid WSU Cougar fan, love to paint, and enjoy the sun, water, and mountains of Washington any way I can.
