Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Middlebury College where I majored in Political Science and minored in Economics for my BA. During my four years at Middlebury I spent a semester abroad at Oxford University in the United Kingdom studying Medieval and Renaissance History and Literature. Since college I have spent time living and farming abroad in France and traveling around Europe and America. My tutoring experience started in high school when I tutored students who struggled with new languages, a subject area I enjoy and enjoy working with. In college I began tutoring Somali refugees in Burlington, VT in English Acquisition, and also spent some time teaching Guitar. Although I have a broad range of subjects to offer, I most enjoy tutoring Language, History, Social Studies and Literature, as these subjects are closest to my own academic pursuits and interests. Coming from a liberal arts background I believe that education can not only help one realize their future ambitions and goals, but must help to enrich one's life inside and outside the classroom. In my free time I enjoy acting, playing guitar, writing music, painting and writing, which are pursuits that have both inspired and been inspired by my academic experiences.
