Certified Tutor

I earned my Bachelor's Degree from Benedictine University in Lisle, IL. I earned my Master's Degree from Maryville University in Town and Country, MO. My B.A. is in Social Science with an emphasis on History, and sub-emphases on Political Science and Sociology. I also minored in Education. My M.A. is in School Leadership and Administration.

I have spent the last seven years working as a classroom teacher, a position I currently hold. I have been successful working with many different types of students, from those with learning disabilities to those declared as gifted and in Advanced Placement classes. I take a lot of pride in building positive working relationships with my students.

I am certified by the State of Missouri to teach all Social Studies subjects. I have the most experience in the following subjects Government, U.S. History, AP Government & Politics and Economics.

My favorite subject to tutor is any Social Studies course. All offer something that I truly enjoy.

My tutoring and teaching philosophy centers around the idea that I believe it to be of utmost importance to build a positive working relationship with the students because, through experience, I have noticed that this philosophy leads to high student achievement.

Outside of academia, I enjoy sports, both playing and watching, music, traveling and the outdoors.
