Hello! I graduated from Smith College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics. I am spending the next year pursuing my passion for teaching, before becoming a PhD candidate in the field of Applied Sciences and Technology at the University of California at Berkeley. I have been a tutor for the last few years. I have worked primarily with undergraduate physics and engineering students, both individually and in large groups. I am a great tutor because I am extremely patient. I believe that the best way to teach is to first listen carefully to how a student is approaching a problem. Rather than jumping in with my own favorite tricks, I help students understand which of their instincts are bringing them in the right direction, and then build on their previous knowledge and skills.
