I believe that any subject can be made fun and relevant through meaningful examples and a hands-on approach! I especially love English, History, and Psychology and enjoy problem-solving for test prep (SAT, GRE). Currently I am pursuing my doctorate in Clinical Psychology, and my training thus far has taught me the value of appreciating others’ perspectives and finding innovative ways to learn and teach. After graduating from Northwestern four years ago, I spent time abroad before getting my Master’s degree at Boston College in Mental Health Counseling. This past year marked my first as a doctoral student at Long Island University, CW Post. In addition to being a student myself, I taught Psychology courses at the undergraduate level. This opportunity illuminated new approaches to instruction and one-on-one tutoring. Teaching in recent months also reaffirmed my belief in the importance of fostering genuine connections and rapport with students. Success, comfort, and dedication are key to how I operate! I strive to create a safe and fun environment, which I believe is optimal for successful and novel learning experiences.
