Certified Tutor

Having taught politics at the University of Glasgow in the UK, I know what the top universities expect of their students and I know what it takes to get there. That is why my tutoring approach not only focuses on helping my students learn essential material; it also focuses on helping my students learn how to learn for themselves so that they can become independent and critically-minded thinkers. I do this by creating a challenging yet entertaining learning environment. With a strong academic background in government, history, economics and literature, I understand the challenges my students face in each subject. Having also worked as a personal trainer, I learned what it takes to motivate my clients physically and mentally. Though academia is more tweed than tube socks, I still employ the same enthusiastic approach when tutoring to ensure that my students develop the necessary learning skills and motivation to succeed. Most importantly, I take tutoring personally, and thus I am personally invested in the success of all my students.
