I have seen first hand the impacts a personal tutor can have on a student with helping achieve a much better grade. The reason why I know this is because I had a personal Mathematics tutor during the period of my GCSE's. I had just finished my January mocks and was predicted to get a C in the real exams, however with the help of my Mathematics tutor she managed to help me achieve an A* in my real exams. This experience of having a Mathematics tutor and helping me open my mind and view Mathematics in a different way prior to before enabled me to have a great passion for mathematics to this very day. I believe with my knowledge and passion for Mathematics Ill be able to transfer some of the skills I've acquired over the years from my GCSE's to my undergraduate degree to the students that I'll be tutoring. My younger sister at the moment is currently in Year 11 and I have a great understanding and am up to date of what the current curriculum is like at the moment as I help her as much as I can to get the same grade or a better mark than what I got in my GCSE mathematics, chemistry and physics.
