Certified Tutor
I studied Electrical Engineering at Louisiana Tech University with a minor in Mathematics and Computer Science. I am a lifelong learner, my education is ongoing. I invest a considerable time learning my subjects of interest which are Mathematics, Physics, and computer science. One of the reasons I love tutoring is because I learn along with the students. Every mathematics concept, whether basic or not, is useful for a lifetime. "I still get to do 1+1 on a daily basis".
I am worked as an Electrical Engineer for 2 years, and now, I am a full-stack engineer for one of the biggest Tech companies in the US. I have industry experience with the latest technology stacks based on javascript (react, nodeJE, etc.), java, and DevOps technologies.
My hobbies are programming the PIC micro-controller for cool stuff such as making the lawnmower remote control, interface with Matlab image recognition systems, pedestrian detection, smart home, voice-controlled systems, etc.
The world is changing. Manufacturing jobs are being replaced by robots and traditional jobs such as taxi cab drivers, pizza deliverers, and mail deliverers won't be available in 20 years because of self-driving cars and drones. However, there will be a talent shortage in STEM as companies will need people to program and build those systems. The basics of all are Mathematics. We must know it to secure our place in the future.
I have been officially tutoring for almost five (5) years to students ranging from middle school to college. My tutoring experience is mainly focused on mathematics and programming ( Java, JavaScript tech stacks), especially Algebra (I and II), Trigonometry, Calculus (I and II), and some physics (Newtonian Physics, and Electrics and Magnetic Fields). I am also fluent in French.
As a student who struggled with Math at the beginning (7th grade), I can explain both math and physics by taking good analogies so the students can understand by not thinking of variables like x and y, but as apple and oranges so they can overcome their struggle with math in a few weeks. Mastering Math is like mastering sports or performing art. It requires energy, time, work, discipline, and perseverance. If you fall back, do not dismay or get frustrated. Get a good tutor to give a jump start to your brain to grasp any math concept as I did. I ended up being good at math, so can you be.
