I've been working in Education for about 5 years, and have commonly assisted students in Math, Science, English, and various other subjects.

Typically I've found students hate Math because it's very frustrating when you don't know how to do it. Students and I examine what is the question asking us to? What formulae and information are given to us? Together we start working towards a solution. I tend to ask many easy questions to keep the students involved and build up their confidence. It's very normal that after a few sessions, students are much braver to try challenging questions with a steady and systematic approach.
