I have been teaching English and writing courses for many years. I have a Master's degree in English and a Bachelor's degree in English Education. I earned my first degree at the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND. After graduating with my undergraduate degree I taught high school for two years in Fargo, ND and then decided I wanted to do something different. I applied to grad schools and was accepted to Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ. I moved to New Jersey where I went to school and taught for them while they paid my tuition for grad school along with a small stipend. I lived in Jersey for a year and a half and then moved to Brooklyn, NY. I lived there for another year and a half. I missed MN and decided to move back in 2005. I have taught students from 12 to 60 years of age, different cultures, skills and backgrounds; in all areas of English, reading and especially writing. I am passionate and get to know my students. That is partially why I am successful in helping them to achieve their goals and go beyond expectations! Tutoring and teaching is a noble profession and I take pride in being an educator. I will not let a student leave feeling confused or frustrated. My students are successful and gain incredible knowledge of the subject and of themselves.
I enjoy the outdoors and all MN sports . I am not the best fisher-person but love it, as well as camping (as long as the mosquitoes are friendly).
