Sandra
Certified Tutor
As a teacher, I believe that all children are good. With positive guidance and positive learning experiences, children have the opportunity to display their best qualities. Although some students may not have the same capabilities as another, each should be give equal opportunities in the classroom and school environment. Individual as well as group planning is necessary to account for a multiple of learning strategies. Critical thinking and hands on experience are important in facilitating learning. Together with parents, community and staff I want to help students acquire the fundamental knowledge to prepare themselves for the future.

What is your teaching philosophy?
As a teacher, I believe that all children are good. With positive guidance and positive learning experiences, children have the opportunity to display their best qualities.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
First, I would try to get to know the student and their personality. Perhaps I'd ask questions about their extracurricular activities, maybe even play a game together. Also, I would try to get a clearer picture on what their specific academic struggles seem to be.
