What's covered in an Albuquerque GMAT course?

Your course will focus on the material that you need to know before sitting down to take the GMAT. To that end, it's useful reviewing what's actually tested on the GMAT. The exam was created with the purpose of assessing how prepared the individuals who take it are to continue on with their business studies at the graduate school level. The test has four sections, which each focus on a different set of skills that MBA programs' admissions committees want to see their applicants demonstrate. These sections are called Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, Integrated Reasoning, and Analytical Writing.

There are three different available test sequences that you can choose from when signing up to take the GMAT. This means that you can decide to start with a test section that you feel confident with to get warmed up for the sections you consider more challenging. You can decide to start with Analytical Writing, Verbal Reasoning, or Quantitative Reasoning. If you start with Quantitative Reasoning, you'll be asked to answer 31 multiple-choice questions in a 62-minute time limit. You'll be asked to show your ability to identify relevant data and reason effectively using logic and math skills when taking this part of the exam.

The next section of your exam will be Verbal Reasoning. This part of the exam also features a number of multiple-choice questions and a time limit of a little over an hour. Here, you'll need to demonstrate your critical reasoning, reading comprehension, and sentence correction skills.

Third, you may take the Integrated Reasoning test section. The GMAT's section on Integrated Reasoning has a 30-minute time limit and features 12 questions. It is graded on a scale ranging from 1 to 8 points. This part of the test requires test-takers to interpret graphics that contain data in a variety of formats. You'll need to be able to use and synthesize all of the data that you're presented with to answer the section's questions.

Finally, your test may conclude with the Analytical Writing Assessment. This part of the exam is different than the others in that it doesn't feature any multiple-choice questions. Instead, you'll be tasked with writing an essay based on a prompt that you're presented with. You'll only have 30 minutes to do this so it's important to be able to work quickly on this part of the GMAT. The essay that you write will be graded based on things like the quality of your writing and the strengths of the arguments that you present.

As detailed in the paragraphs above, the GMAT is a truly comprehensive exam. You'll need to practice a variety of academic skills in order to feel confident on the day of your test. Do you think that you would benefit from having assistance with this process? If so, then one of the best ways to get it is by reaching out to 51Թ. In the next section, you'll learn more about the specific ways that taking an Albuquerque GMAT course can help you pursue your test goals with confidence.
